It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend NAWIC’s 58th Annual Meeting and Educational Conference (AMEC) to be held in the Pacific Northwest at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, Wash., Aug. 28–31, 2013.
AMEC is the time to meet our sponsors and industry partners, spend time with other women in construction, sharpen your leadership skills, and find out what is in the future for our Association. I am ecstatic that keynote speaker Dawnna St. Louis will dare us to be exceptional and spark forward-thinking innovation to stay ahead of trends. Our Industry Luncheon speaker, Jim Roberts, President and CEO of Granite Construction, Inc., will deliver a keynote entitled “The Construction Industry – The Road Ahead.”
I challenge you to take time from your busy life to further yourself and attend the multitude of professional development and construction education seminars. New this year, our Association workshops are interspersed throughout AMEC. Be sure to understand this new schedule before making your travel arrangements. Have some educational fun on Saturday and enjoy our “ABC’s of Do It Yourself” home improvement workshops.
Not only will you have educational and networking opportunities, the Bellevue/ Seattle area is the perfect place to sightsee and enjoy wonderful late summer weather.
As we all look out the “Windows to the Future,” please join me in the celebration of the achievements of our Association as the construction industry looks at all that NAWIC has to offer.
